Discover Ålesund from the surrounding hilltops on a scenic bus tour through the dramatic landscapes that frame the city.
Take in views of world-famous fjords in the heart of the West Norwegian Fjords, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Drive one of Norway’s narrowest valleys, whose scenic beauty is matched by its fascinating past.
Visit Øye and Urke, two of the most picturesque villages in the Sunnmøre Alps.
Your tour begins with a short drive through Ålesund’s famous Art Nouveau city center. From there, you’ll take a ferry across Storfjorden—one of Norway’s longest fjords and a gateway to the world-renowned Geirangerfjord—before continuing through dramatic mountain valleys.
Crossing Stranda Mountain, you’ll stop for an early lunch before continuing to the Ljøen viewpoint, where sweeping views of Geirangerfjord unfold below. The journey continues to Hellesylt, where waterfalls cascade into the fjord beneath towering peaks.
From there, you’ll travel through Norangsdalen—one of Norway’s narrowest and most historically rich valleys—before reaching the village of Urke, where the Sunnmøre Alps meet the fjord. Enjoy time to explore before taking the ferry to Sæbø and rejoining your ship.
