Hjørundfjord – Tastes and Traditions

Step aboard the vintage 1949 motorship MS Bruvik for a scenic cruise through the breathtaking Hjørundfjord. Expert local guides will bring the fjord’s history, culture, and communities to life as you sail to the village of Sæbø.

From there, we’ll visit Rekkedal Guesthouse, a 16th-century working farm that has remained in the same family for 20 generations. Explore the farmyard before settling in beside a traditional fireplace for a four-course dinner in a beautifully preserved 1880 barn. Each course is introduced as it is served, with many ingredients sourced directly from the farm or nearby local producers.

With a satisfying meal behind us, we’ll return to Ålesund aboard MS Bruvik, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of Hjørundfjord.
