Drive your own team of huskies through the pristine Arctic wilderness near Narvik on this exhilarating self-drive dog sledding experience.
Breathe pure air and feel deep peace in the wintry Gratangen forest
Learn how to handle a team of huskies as you glide across the snow
Meet the happy and well-looked-after family dogs
Enjoy true Sámi hospitality in a traditional heated lavvo tent
A transfer from Narvik—crossing briefly into Sweden—brings you to Husky Isogaisa, where the polar winter creates a magical Arctic setting. Crisp air, ice-covered trees, and snow-blanketed landscapes set the scene for your adventure.
After meeting the huskies, you’ll learn how to mush your own sled, guided by an experienced tour leader with her own team of dogs. Once you’ve learned the basics, you’ll pair up and drive your own team of 4–6 huskies across stunning winter terrain. The dogs love to run, and you’ll quickly see why this is one of the Arctic’s most exciting experiences.
After about an hour on the trail, you’ll return to base and warm up inside a heated Sámi lavvo (traditional tent) with a hot drink and snack. This is more than a tour—it’s a true Arctic experience you’ll remember long after you leave.
