Our first stop in Trondheim is Nidaros Cathedral, Norway’s national shrine. Built over the burial site of the patron saint St. Olav, this Gothic masterpiece is filled with exquisite works of art and centuries of Norwegian history. After a guided tour of the cathedral, you’ll have free time to explore the surrounding area.
Next, we travel by bus to the Ringve Museum of Musical History, set within a beautiful manor house and botanical garden on the outskirts of the city. Once the childhood home of 18th-century naval hero Peter Wessel Tordenskiold, it now houses a fascinating collection of musical instruments from around the world. We’ll enjoy a guided tour of the house and gardens before boarding the bus back to the ship.
