Travel by small boat (RIB) with fishermen to their king crab cages in the fjord
Watch the experienced fishermen pull the crab cages from the water.
Watch a skillful chef prepare the day’s catch.
Enjoy a sumptuous king crab buffet in a rustic fjord-side boathouse.
Board a RIB boat and head into the surrounding fjords with an experienced local fisherman as crab pots loaded with king crabs are hauled from the depths.
Red king crabs can weigh up to 22 pounds (10 kg) and have a leg span approaching 6.5 feet (2 m), so if the catch proves challenging, you may be invited to lend a hand.
The crabs are then brought ashore to a traditional fjord-side boathouse, where a local chef transforms the fresh catch into a memorable meal.
Enjoy as much king crab as you like while savoring the sweet, delicate meat. Bring your appetite—this is one of Northern Norway’s most famous culinary experiences.
