  • Visit a family-run working farm in Lofoten.

  • Meet some of the family and hear their story.

  • See the farm’s many cherished animals.

  • Sample the fresh cheese made and the fresh herbs herbs grown at the farm.

Departing Stamsund by bus, we head to Aalan Farm in Lauvdalen, a family-run herb and cheese farm operated by Knut and Tove Åland and their children in the heart of the Lofoten Islands.

Aalan supplies our ships with premium teas and award-winning cheeses throughout the year, making this a rare opportunity to meet the producers in person and sample the very products you may have enjoyed onboard.

Knut and Tove will share insights into life on a farm this far north while you sample their cheeses, herbs, and other homemade specialties. Afterward, meet the farm’s goats, miniature pigs, ducks, chickens, cats, and dogs—and, if you're lucky, their free-range cow, Victoria, may make an appearance as well. We then continue to Svolvær to rejoin the ship.
