Tour the brewery, visit the microbrewery, and sample a genuine Arctic beer.
If you’d like, you can end your tour at Ølhallen, Norway’s oldest pub.
This guided tour includes a theatrical twist. From the pier, you’ll join a 30-minute walking experience through southern Tromsø city center, led by a character portraying brewery founder Ludwig Mack.
Founded in 1877 and still family-owned, Mack Brewery is one of Norway’s oldest breweries and was long known as the world’s northernmost brewery. At the brewery, actors hand you over to a guided tour of the historic facility, including insights into the brewing process and a tasting of craft beers produced on site.
Afterward, you may continue to Ølhallen, Mack’s historic brewpub and Tromsø’s oldest pub, featuring more than 70 Norwegian beers on tap.
