Known as the base for many historic Arctic expeditions, Tromsø is one of the world’s great northern cities. This guided bus tour highlights three of its most iconic attractions.
First, you’ll ride the Fjellheisen Cable Car to the summit of Mount Storsteinen, 1,378 feet (420 m) above sea level. From the viewing platform, enjoy panoramic views of Tromsø, surrounding fjords, mountains, and islands. Take time to explore or enjoy a snack at the Fjellstua restaurant.
Next, you’ll visit the Arctic Cathedral, famous for its striking triangular architecture and glass mosaic façade inspired by the Arctic landscape.
Your final stop is Full Steam, the world’s northernmost coastal museum. Here you’ll explore the maritime heritage of Northern Norway, Sámi coastal culture, and the history of Arctic exploration. The Northern Lights exhibition offers a visual journey through aurora photography by acclaimed Norwegian artists.
