Sunset over Reine in the Lofoten Islands, Norway
  • Soak up the iconic views of this magical archipelago

  • Learn about the islands’ fishing heritage at the historic village of Å

  • Stroll along the unspoilt sands of Ramberg beach

  • Enjoy a delicious local lunch

Your journey begins in Reine, one of Lofoten’s most iconic fishing villages, located on the island of Moskenes. As you leave town, you’ll pass the dramatic Reinebringen, which rises 1,470 feet above sea level and ranks among the archipelago’s highest peaks. The viewpoint here overlooks a fjord recognized as one of the world’s most beautiful vistas.

Heading north, you’ll follow the inner coastline, traveling between towering mountains and the sea. Along the way, admire picturesque fishing villages perched at the base of peaks rising directly from the water—a classic Lofoten landscape.

Your first stop is Å, one of Norway’s best-preserved fishing villages at the western tip of the archipelago. Explore its maritime heritage at the fishing village museum, where you can see traditional wooden boats, visit the old bakery, and step inside a fisherman’s home.

From here, you’ll continue along the outer coast for a photo stop at Flakstad Church, the second-oldest church in Lofoten, before reaching Ramberg Beach. On a sunny day, this 0.8-mile stretch of white sand may make you forget you’re nearly 125 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Enjoy a delicious local lunch before returning to Reine.
