See the distinctive parish church of Hammerfest and a monument to Ole Olsen
Get a magnificent view of the area and outlying islands from the mountain’s peak.
Setting out from the quay, you'll enjoy a brief sightseeing tour of Hammerfest before beginning your hike.
Highlights include the town’s distinctive parish church, the monument commemorating the Napoleonic Wars, and Ole Olsen Place, honoring the renowned composer born here.
Your guide will then lead you along the zigzag trail up Mount Salen. The climb requires a moderate level of fitness, but the reward is well worth the effort. On a clear day, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the islands of Melkøya, Sørøya, and Seiland.
