How it works

Your excursion begins with a short bus tour of the charming coastal town of Brønnøysund, followed by a scenic crossing over the impressive bridge to the Norwegian Aquaculture Centre in Toft. Here, your guides will introduce you to Norway’s world-renowned salmon farming industry.

The Norwegian coast’s cold, clean waters provide ideal conditions for sustainable aquaculture. As a result, Norway is one of the world’s largest exporters of seafood, with Norwegian salmon enjoyed by an estimated 37 million people worldwide.

You’ll have the opportunity to observe salmon up close and learn how they live and grow in their marine environment. You’ll also discover the technology used to raise salmon from egg to mature fish and even try an underwater camera to view the fish in their pens. Your visit concludes with a tasting of fresh Norwegian salmon, celebrated globally for its quality and flavor.
