How it works

Founded in 997, Trondheim is Norway’s original Viking capital—a city rich in history and culture, now also recognized as a leading center for education, research, and innovation.

On this guided bus tour, you’ll pass the city’s distinctive red bridge and the historic wooden warehouses of Bakklandet, which line the banks of the Nidelva River. You’ll then stop at the Utsikten viewpoint for sweeping views over the city, including Kristiansten Fortress and the island of Munkholmen in the fjord.

The final stop is Nidaros Cathedral, Norway’s national shrine and one of its most important landmarks. Built over the burial site of St. Olav in 1070, its Gothic architecture and intricate stonework have inspired visitors for nearly 1,000 years. After a guided tour, you’ll receive a complimentary book about the cathedral to take home.
