Taste local beer in a beer-tasting session.
In 2006, a local beer enthusiast repurposed a former fish-landing facility dating back to 1937 in the center of Svolvær, transforming it into the site of Lofoten’s first and only craft brewery.
On this excursion, you’ll meet the brewery’s owner, Thorvadur, and tour the historic building. He’ll share the story of the brewery’s origins and explain how Lofoten’s exceptionally pure mountain water made it possible to launch this ambitious craft brewing project.
At the end of the tour, you’ll enjoy a tasting of beers brewed on site using fresh mountain water from Lofoten. The result is a crisp, distinctive flavor that reflects the purity and character of the surrounding landscape, letting you experience the essence of Lofoten in every sip.
