How it works

A short minibus transfer takes you to the launch point on the Nid River, where you'll set off downstream through Trondheim’s scenic surroundings. Glide past Trondheim’s colorful wooden wharf buildings and into the city’s narrower canals, with views of Nidaros Cathedral, Kristiansten Fortress, and the popular Marinen Park unfolding around you.

The Nid River is also renowned as an excellent fishing spot. Trout can be found throughout the river, and you may even spot salmon in the lower reaches—catches of more than 44 pounds (20 kg) are recorded here every year.

This relaxed kayak tour along the Nid River is suitable for all ages and abilities, and no previous kayaking experience is required.
