Drive your own husky sled through the Svalbard wilderness before meeting the puppies back at the dog yard.
Meet the local guide for an introduction to dog-sledding.
Drive the sled yourself as a musher or enjoy the scenery as a passenger.
Spend time playing with adorable husky puppies.
From the ship, you’ll travel about a 30-minute drive to the dog yards, where you’ll meet a local guide and receive an introduction to dog sledding. The guide will then harness the dogs so the adventure can begin.
You’ll share a specially built wheeled sled with two other guests, with eight eager huskies pulling you along. The guide will lead the team ahead with his own sled dog pack.
You’ll have the chance to take the reins and drive the sled yourself, or simply sit back and enjoy the Arctic scenery as a passenger. One person must always remain in control, and you can decide among your group who will steer at any given time.
After about 90 minutes of driving, you’ll visit the kennel area to meet the puppies—an unforgettable highlight. Back at the yard, warm up with a hot drink and chat with your local guide before returning to the ship.
