How it works

Leaving the pier, you’ll board a coach for a short sightseeing tour of Kristiansand city center before continuing through residential neighborhoods and along the Otra River into the Torridalen Valley. Along the way, enjoy views of forested hills, traditional farms, and scenic river landscapes.

You’ll arrive at Skraastad Farm for a traditional Christmas gathering. During the holiday season, the farm is beautifully decorated in classic Norwegian Yuletide style. Established in 1773, Skraastad Farm has a long and storied history.

After a warm welcome, you’ll gather inside the cozy farmhouse to learn about Norwegian Christmas traditions. Enjoy storytelling, traditional music, and tastings of homemade seasonal foods and drinks, including pinnekjøtt (lamb ribs), salmon, and Norwegian sausage.

On the return drive to the pier, take in Kristiansand’s festive city decorations before arriving back at your ship.
