Starting in Honningsvåg, we’ll enjoy a scenic bus ride while our guide shares stories of local history and life in the Arctic.
Our first stop is Skarsvåg, the world’s northernmost fishing village, where we visit the cozy Christmas and Winter House and meet its owner, Heidi, who offers fascinating insights into year-round life in the far north. Surrounded by festive decorations and seasonal music, you’ll have time to browse locally made gifts and souvenirs while enjoying a hot drink and a slice of cake.
Next, we visit the picturesque harbor at Kamøyvær, where a small fishing fleet bobs gently on the water and daily village life unfolds around you. Weather permitting, we’ll stop at the Tufjorden viewpoint to admire the Hornet, a striking rock formation considered sacred by the Sámi people.
Back in Honningsvåg, the tour concludes with a visit to the gallery of artist Eva Schmutterer, whose work is inspired by the dramatic landscapes of Northern Norway.
