This is a guided land and sea journey through Norway and Finland, designed for those who want to experience more than the coast. Alongside your Hurtigruten cruise, you’ll stay in 4-star hotels and glass-roofed cabins, travel by train and coach, and join guided experiences such as city tours and wildlife safaris.
It’s a complete Nordic adventure - not just a cruise.
Yes. Your English-speaking Tour Manager will be with you every step of the way. They’ll also be on board during your voyage to help with logistics, group coordination, and excursions.
Groups are usually around 20–30 guests. It’s small enough for a relaxed, personal experience, with time to get to know your Tour Manager and fellow travellers.
On board, you’ll sail with other guests on one of our Hurtigruten ships, which can accommodate up to 500 passengers.
The cruise portion of the tour is full board, with daily breakfast, lunch and dinner served in the ship's main restaurant.
On land, you’ll enjoy daily breakfast at your hotel, plus a selection of lunches and dinners - though most meals are at your own expense. Drinks are not included unless otherwise stated.
You’ll stay in 4-star standard hotels and lodges, plus a cabin of your choice on board your Hurtigruten ship. A highlight is a night in a glass igloo, where you will hopefully be able to watch the Northern Lights dance in the sky above from the comfort of your bed.
Flights and airport transfers are not included in the tour price. You’ll need to arrange your own travel to/from Oslo and Helsinki. Once the tour begins, all transfers listed in the itinerary are included.
A range of authentic Nordic experiences are included. You’ll visit a reindeer farm and husky kennel, enjoy a sled or cart ride (weather permitting), and embark on guided city tours in Oslo, Bergen, and Helsinki. You’ll also experience the famous Norway in a Nutshell journey with the Flåm Railway and Nærøyfjord cruise, and visit the Siida Museum in Finnish Lapland.
Optional shore excursions during your Hurtigruten cruise can be booked at an additional cost.
Unfortunately, this tour is not recommended for guests who use a wheelchair or have limited mobility. Many winter activities require short walks on snowy or icy paths that can be challenging even for those with full mobility. Guests who can manage short walks and climb a few stairs should be able to join most activities comfortably.
However, if a wheelchair is required, we would not recommend this particular tour.
