Founded in 997, Trondheim is Norway's original Viking capital – a city steeped in history yet firmly established as Norway's leading centre of knowledge and innovation.
On this guided bus tour, you’ll pass the city's distinctive red bridge and the 18th-century wooden wharf buildings of Bakklandet, lining the banks of the Nid River. You'll then stop at Utsikten viewpoint for sweeping panoramas across the city, taking in Kristiansten Fortress and the island of Munkholmen out in the fjord.
The final stop is Nidaros Cathedral, Norway's national shrine and its most iconic building. Built over the tomb of St. Olav in 1070, its intricate Gothic stonework and soaring architecture have inspired visitors for nearly 1,000 years. After a guided tour, you'll receive a complimentary book about the cathedral to take home.
