  • Explore the city of Trondheim and learn more about its culture and history

  • Visit the beautiful Nidaros Cathedral, Norway’s national shrine

  • Enjoy a guided tour and receive a book about the cathedral

  • Admire the view of the city from Utsikten viewpoint

You’ll step aboard the bus for a whistle-stop tour of Trondheim’s highlights. Founded in 997, it was Norway's original Viking capital – a city that wears a thousand years of history with remarkable grace, while earning a modern reputation as Norway's leading centre of knowledge and innovation.

Our bus tour passes the city's distinctive red bridge and the 18th-century wooden wharf buildings of Bakklandet, lining the banks of the Nid River. We’ll then stop at Utsikten viewpoint for sweeping panoramas across the city, taking in Kristiansten Fortress and the island of Munkholmen out in the fjord.

Our final stop is Nidaros Cathedral, Norway's national shrine. Built over the tomb of St. Olav in 1070, it is a Gothic masterpiece of intricate stonework and soaring architecture. After a guided tour, you'll receive a complimentary book about the cathedral to take home, before we board the bus back to rejoin the ship.
