Enjoy being outdoors, admiring the white winter Arctic landscape
Learn more about the nature of the local area with a knowledgeable guide
Relax by the bonfire with a hot drink and snack, perhaps with the aurora above
A short bus ride takes you to the top of Tromsøya Island – a tranquil patchwork of snow-dusted birch and spruce forests, with gently rolling slopes stretching out around you.
With modern snowshoes strapped on, you’ll feel as if you’re floating above the snow as we set off on a short walk. Breathe in the crisp winter air, take in the winter scenery as you go, and listen to your guide talk about nature in the surrounding area and everyday life here in the Arctic.
The walk leads to a clearing where a bonfire awaits. Enjoy a hot drink and a sweet snack while swapping stories around the fire, or relive some childhood fun by sledding down the slopes on a simple toboggan.
