Explore Norway's most bike-friendly city on this relaxed guided tour, taking in the fjord, the old town and the new bike bridge.

Highlights

Explore Trondheim by bike, accompanied by a professional guide

Pass the city’s several landmarks and admire the views

Ride alongside local Norwegians who regularly use the same cycle lanes

Enjoy coffee and pastries at a café in the Bakklandet area

How it works

Setting off from the ship, we’ll start our guided cycle of Trondheim along the fjord, sticking to the city’s network of red cycle lanes. We'll cross the new bike bridge and take in its fine views of Munkholmen island – Trondheim's version of Alcatraz. From here, we’ll cycle via the neighbourhood of Ila along the river Nid, where you’ll spot the impressive Nidaros Cathedral.

Entering the buzzy Bakklandet district, we’ll stop for coffee and pastries at one of the many cosy cafés in the area. Heading back to the ship, we’ll cross the historic district and the modernised part of the trendy Solsiden area, a former shipyard which has become very popular with the locals.
