Broadcasting legend Lorraine Kelly is setting sail for Norway – and you’re invited to follow along. In her new show, Lorraine Kelly’s Norwegian Odyssey, brought to you by Channel 4 and Hurtigruten, Lorraine travels north along Norway’s coast.

Carried by our ships for much of her journey, she explores the fjords, fishing villages and Arctic landscapes that define our beautiful part of the world.

Across three episodes, she meets the people who call this coastline home, from reindeer herders and seaweed foragers to ship captains and Arctic chefs. In between, she chases the Northern Lights, samples local flavours and reconnects with her childhood fascination for Viking myths and sea adventures.

The Coastal Express sails to 34 ports over 12 days, travelling through fjords, crossing the Arctic Circle and rounding North Cape – the northernmost point of mainland Europe – between Bergen, Gateway to the Fjords, and Kirkenes near the Russian border.

It stops at towns like Ålesund, Trondheim and Tromsø as well as ports in the Lofoten Islands, Vesterålen and Norway’s far north.

The full cruise between Bergen and Kirkenes takes 12 days. You can also sail the route northbound (7 days) or southbound (6 days).

Yes. Lorraine travelled with Hurtigruten in both summer and winter. Each season offers something different – Northern Lights in winter, Midnight Sun in summer, and rich colour and culture year-round.
