A short minibus transfer takes you to the launch point on the River Nid, where you'll set off downstream through Trondheim’s scenic surroundings. Glide past colourful its wooden wharf buildings and into the city's narrower canals, with views of Nidaros Cathedral, Kristiansten Fortress and the popular Marinen Park unfolding around you.
The River Nid is also renowned as a fine fishing spot. Trout can be spotted throughout, and you might even come across salmon in the lower reaches – catches of over 20kg are recorded here every year.
