The base for many historic Arctic expeditions, Tromsø is one of the world's great northern cities – and this guided bus tour takes in three of its finest attractions.
We begin with a ride up the Fjellheisen cable car to the top of Mount Storsteinen, 420 metres above sea level, where panoramic views across the city, fjords, mountains and islands unfold in every direction. Take your time on the plateau or stop for a snack at the Fjellstua restaurant.
Next, we visit the Arctic Cathedral – its soaring glass mosaic windows inspired by the Arctic landscape and now an iconic feature of the Tromsø skyline.
Our final stop is Full Steam, the world's northernmost coastal museum. Here you'll discover the maritime heritage of the region, the history and traditions of the Sea Sami, and the stories of sailors who navigated these unforgiving northern waters. Don't miss the Northern Lights exhibition, showcasing the aurora through the eyes of acclaimed Norwegian photographers.
