Planned Pre-Program itinerary:

Day 1: Overnight in Reykjavík

Upon arriving in Iceland’s capital, check in to your hotel for the night. If you have time, enjoy the rest of the day exploring the many things to see and do in this charming city.

Day 2: Golden Circle Tour

After breakfast, begin your full-day Golden Circle tour. We’ll visit UNESCO-listed Thingvellir (Þingvellir) National Park, a fascinating area of geological and historical significance. Enjoy a walk surrounded by a glorious volcanic landscape and stand where two tectonic plates meet.

Afterward, travel past fertile farmlands to Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls, and see the spouting geysers of the Geysir Geothermal Area. After lunch, we’ll end the trip with a dip in the geothermal waters of the Secret Lagoon before returning to Reykjavík in time for the start of your expedition cruise.
