Experience the spectacular landscapes above Nordfjord on an excursion that combines the famous Loen Skylift with a guided mountain hike.
After a short transfer from Olden, you'll board the Loen Skylift and ascend from fjord level up Mount Hoven, 1,011 metres above sea level. In just a few minutes, the scenery transforms from green valleys and shimmering waters to an impressive mountain environment high above the fjord.
At the summit, you'll meet your guide and prepare for a scenic walk towards Skredfjellet. The route follows well-maintained gravel paths through open mountain terrain, with a few short steeper sections along the way. No previous hiking experience is required, but a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.
As you gain height, the views become increasingly spectacular. Look out across Nordfjord and, from the mountain ridge, see panoramic vistas that extend towards the Sunnmøre Alps in the north, the peak of Skåla in the east and the glacier-fringed landscapes of Oldedalen to the south.
Early in the season, snow may still cover parts of the route. When conditions require it, snowshoes and poles will be provided, offering a memorable opportunity to experience the Norwegian mountains in spring.
After the hike, there is time to relax and enjoy the surroundings near Hoven Restaurant before descending by cable car and returning to Olden.
This excursion is ideal for guests who want to combine breathtaking scenery with a rewarding and active mountain experience.
