Revel in the power and beauty of Norway's natural landscapes on a journey to the famous Vøringsfossen Waterfall and the Norwegian Nature Centre.
Your excursion begins with a visit to the Norwegian Nature Centre, an engaging visitor centre dedicated to the geology, climate, and natural history of the Hardanger region. Here, an impressive panoramic film takes you through the changing seasons of Western Norway, while interactive exhibits provide fascinating insights into the forces that have shaped the landscapes of this remarkable region.
From the Nature Centre, the journey continues by coach through the dramatic Måbødalen Valley. Climbing through a series of tunnels, you'll ascend to the Hardangervidda plateau, around 750 metres above sea level, where one of Norway's most celebrated natural attractions awaits.
Vøringsfossen Waterfall is among the country's most famous waterfalls, plunging 182 metres into the gorge below. A network of viewing platforms offers spectacular perspectives of the falls and the surrounding landscape, while the famous Sky Bridge allows you to cross the gorge itself. With 99 steps and dramatic views in every direction, it provides a truly memorable way to experience the waterfall's immense scale and power.
You'll have ample time to explore the viewpoints, take photographs, and soak up the scenery before returning to Eidfjord.
