Highlights

Enjoy a leisurely trek in the great outdoors

Learn about flora, fauna and the Norwegian love of the outdoor life with your knowledgeable guide

Brew coffee and grill sausages over an open campfire

How it works

Your hike begins in the centre of Bessaker and heads along a track going deep into a valley, passing through forest and open landscape along the way. The trail also takes you along the banks of a tranquil river – the ideal place to pause and take in the sights and sounds of nature around you.

Upon reaching the gapahuk – a traditional lean-to shelter – your guide will light a campfire, gathering around to brew coffee and grill sausages on sticks over the open fire.

Throughout your hike, your guide will share knowledge of the local flora and fauna and give an insight into life in this small, isolated part of Norway.
