On this easy yet rewarding 3km hike, you’ll get to experience authentic friluftsliv, Norway’s renowned outdoor lifestyle. Your hike begins in the centre of Bessaker and heads along a track going deep into a valley, passing through forest and open landscape along the way. The trail also takes you along the banks of a tranquil river – the ideal place to pause and take in the sights and sounds of nature around you.

When we reach the gapahuk, a traditional lean-to shelter, we’ll light a campfire, gathering around to brew coffee and grill sausages on sticks over the open fire.

Throughout your hike, your guide will share knowledge of the local flora and fauna and give an insight into life in this small, isolated part of Norway.

Excursion is subject to a minimum number of participants.
