Rise up above the shores of Nordfjord to the summit of Mount Hoven on one of Norway's most spectacular cable car rides. In just a few minutes, you'll ascend from fjord level to a dramatic mountain landscape, where sweeping views of valleys, glaciers and peaks stretch in every direction.
A spectacular ascent: travel from fjord to mountaintop in just minutes aboard the Loen Skylift.
Panoramic fjord views: take in breathtaking vistas across Nordfjord, Oldedalen and Norway's dramatic mountain landscapes.
Explore at your own pace: stroll around the summit, savour the scenery and visit Hoven Restaurant & Bar.
Step aboard the Loen Skylift and you'll soon be standing at one of Norway's most spectacular viewpoints. After a short transfer from the cruise pier in Olden, you'll arrive at the lower station and begin a remarkable ascent from sea level to the summit of Mount Hoven, 1,011 metres above sea level.
The cable car journey takes just a few minutes, but the transformation is dramatic. As you rise above Nordfjord, the landscape unfolds beneath you, revealing steep mountainsides, deep valleys, and shimmering waters stretching towards the horizon.
At the summit, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views across Nordfjord, the Oldedalen Valley, and the surrounding mountain ranges. On clear days, you may spot some of Western Norway's most famous natural landmarks, including the mighty Jostedalsbreen Glacier, Mount Skåla, and the distant Sunnmøre Alps.
You'll have around two hours at the summit to enjoy the scenery at your own pace. Take photographs, explore the mountain landscape, or simply relax and take in the spectacular views. Hoven Restaurant & Bar is also available for those wishing to enjoy refreshments in an unforgettable setting.
This Loen Skylift excursion is ideal for anyone who wants to experience Norway's magnificent mountain scenery without the need for strenuous hiking.
