Discover Ålesund from the surrounding hilltops on a scenic bus tour of the dramatic landscapes that frame the city.
Take in views across world-famous fjords in the heart of the West Norwegian Fjords UNESCO World Heritage site
Drive one of Norway’s narrowest valleys, whose scenic beauty is matched by its fascinating past
Visit Øye and Urke, two of the most picturesque villages in the Sunnmøre Alps
Your tour begins with a short drive through Ålesund's celebrated Art Nouveau streets. From there, you’ll take the ferry across Storfjorden – one of Norway's longest fjords, branching into the world-famous Geirangerfjord – and embark on a scenic drive through valleys framed by soaring peaks.
Crossing Stranda Mountain, you'll stop for an early lunch before continuing to the Ljøen viewpoint, where the full drama of Geirangerfjord unfolds below. The tour continues to Hellesylt, where waterfalls tumble into sparkling fjord waters against a backdrop of rugged mountains.
From there, you'll follow wild Norangsdalen – one of Norway's narrowest valleys, rich in history and natural spectacle – to the village of Urke, where the Sunnmøre Alps meet the fjord. Enjoy some time exploring the village before taking the ferry to Sæbø to rejoin the ship.
