How it works

This scenic bus tour from Svolvær takes you through some of Lofoten's finest landscapes – sheltered bays, white sandy beaches and sweeping green farmland, all bathed in the extraordinary light that has drawn artists from across Norway and beyond for centuries.

You'll stop in Henningsvær, a charming fishing village of 500 inhabitants that was once the most important fishing village in the archipelago. Protected since 2022, its beautiful harbour is today lined with arts and crafts shops alongside its working fishing heritage.

You'll visit Galleri Lofoten, home to one of Norway's largest collections of North Norwegian paintings spanning works from the turn of the last century – a period widely regarded as the golden age of northern Norwegian art.

From Henningsvær, the bus continues to Stamsund, where you’ll rejoin the ship.
