Ride your own snowmobile across the Nordkyn Peninsula, one of Europe's most remote and pristine landscapes, through snow-clad valleys and mountain passes in the heart of the Polar Night.
Learn how to operate your own snowmobile from experienced instructors
Drive your snowmobile through the night over the mountains
Hear your guides tell stories about life in Finnmark county
Gaze in awe at the Northern Lights if they happen to appear during your ride
After setting up with your guides, you'll set off from Mehamn over the mountains and through snow-clad valleys halfway to the old trading post and fishing village of towards Kjøllefjord. Along the way, your guides will share stories of local life, the Sámi people, and the remarkable geography of this remote corner of the Arctic.
The season shapes the experience. In winter, experience the snow-clad valleys and the fresh winter air, perhaps under the mesmerising Northern Lights should they occur in the skies above. In spring, you might still see the aurora borealis, and possibly the soft glow of the sun towards the end of your ride, along with a milder climate.
Once you’ve reached the halfway point, it’s a short bus ride down to Kjøllefjord port to rejoin the ship.
