Travel with pets

Yes. You’re welcome to bring your pet on our Original ships as long as you travel together. We don’t transport animals on their own.

Please note that pets are not permitted on MS Midnatsol or MS Trollfjord.

A standard add-on fee of 200 NOK per pet per night applies when booking a pet cabin.

To ensure cabins are cleaned properly, a fee of 1500 NOK may apply if a pet travels undeclared and without a pet cabin booking.

You can choose between two options:

• Pet cabin: A limited number of cabins are designated for guests travelling with pets. These can be booked through our Customer Service Centre, and an add-on fee applies per pet.

• Car deck: Your pet may also stay in your car or in its own carrier/cage on the car deck at no additional cost.

Pets need to stay in their designated area at all times – either in your pet cabin or on the car deck. They can’t be brought into public areas, including restaurants, lounges or the outdoor decks. Please speak to the reception manager on board for more information.

Guide and service dogs follow their own rules – see below.

Yes, absolutely. Guide dogs are welcome on board and travel free of charge. They can access all public areas except restaurants, and our staff will be happy to assist you during mealtimes.

If you’re travelling with a guide dog, you’ll need to book a pet cabin. Call our Customer Service Centre to arrange this.

Please note that therapy dogs are not considered service animals and will need to stay in your car or cabin for the duration of your sailing.

Yes, pets are welcome ashore during port stops. You’ll need to return to the through the car deck entrance – but please notify the reception manager on board your ship before proceeding.

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets on the outdoor deck and there is no dedicated relief area for pets on board. Pets cannot relieve themselves on the ship, so please plan your journey around port calls where you can take them ashore.

Yes. If your pet will be placed in a cage on the car deck, please bring a suitable carrier or crate with you.
