Get insight into remote coastal life as you visit a small island community

How it works

With a crew of seasoned sailors, you’ll enjoy a relaxing cruise surrounded by breathtaking nature. A true relic of its era, few boats like this remain along Norway's coastline. Just the special sound of its engine ticking over has been known to cause floods of nostalgia in guests!

As you sail, look out for majestic Sea Eagles, fish for crabs, and listen to tales of Norway’s seafarers. A true highlight is passing by the well-known landmark, Kjerringskrevet, which has guided sailors safely through these waters for generations.

You’ll also stop at Skjervøya, an island on the edge of the open sea that’s home to just nine year-round residents. Here, you’ll go ashore with a local guide, who’ll share their knowledge of Skjervøya’s history – from its fishing heritage to stories of storms and shipwrecks.

As you head back on the boat, you’ll get to taste some freshly caught crab – a great way to round off a nostalgic trip.
