Hiking Through the Wilderness

With mighty Sitka spruce trees, towering mountains that plunge into deep bays and abundant wildlife, you'll witness the majesty of the Tongass National Forest on this two- to three-hour hike. 

Your adventure begins with a short transfer to one of a selection of trails. Your experienced guide will choose the ideal trail for the day based on the conditions and on the abilities and interests of the group.  Whichever hike you do, this is an experience you won’t forget!

Practical information

  • Included: Bottle of water and snacks (bars, nuts, chocolate). Nut-free/Gluten-free options available.  

  • Remarks/requirements: Please wear waterproof layers and comfortable hiking boots. Please bring a daypack to carry snacks and water. Trekking poles are provided. Please note that guides carry first aid and bear safety equipment.  

  • Walking or Activity information: Involves physical activity on uneven surfaces and/or steep terrain. You may be expected to carry your own backpack and equipment. Not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Hikes are anywhere from one to five miles with a zero- to 1,000-ft elevation gain. All trails are well maintained, but some include rock or wood steps that may be slippery when wet.
