Telemark landscape You will arrive at Ulefoss and board your canal boat. The Telemark Canal was completed in 1892 to create a continuous waterway from the coast to the inner part of Telemark. Its 18 locks lift boats from 0 to 236 feet above sea level. In European travel guides, the canal was described as one of the “eight wonders of the world” when it was finished. On your canal boat ride from Ulefoss to Lunde, you will sail into the heart of the canal landscape. On your way, you will pass two locks, including Vrangfoss. Vrangfoss is the largest lock, featuring five chambers. Enjoy lunch on board MS Victoria; the dish of the day and tea/coffee will be served.
