This tour starts with a short walk from the landing pier across a wooden footbridge to Santa Catalina Island with its mangroves, traditional houses, and fortifications. You will then return for a short stroll through Santa Isabel, the main settlement on the island. After seeing main street and the first Baptist church, board a local pick-up truck for an open-air drive along the island´s only road, featuring panoramic views of the lush mountainous landscapes and painted wooden houses along the shoreline. During the drive, local guides will narrate the story of Providencia before making a stop at Southwest Bay for refreshments and the chance to shop for souvenirs made by local artisans. You can also swim at the beach.
The drive then continues along the coastal road, passing though small local communities and enjoying picturesque views of the Caribbean, before returning to the pier at Santa Isabel.
