Visit Sisimiut, representing traditional and modern Greenland and filled with history and tradition.
  • Sled dog town.

  • Harbor view point.

  • The old hunters’ quarter.

  • The old colony and museum.

Sisimiut is where traditional and modern Greenland meet. Sisimiut is a melting pot of old, new, and everything in between. The area has been inhabited by humans for the last 4,500 years, so it is undoubtedly filled with history and tradition. Over the past 250 years, the city has undergone rapid development, which began with the construction of the Holsteinsborg colony and continues until today, with Sisimiut as Greenland’s second-largest city. It’s a city where modern industry and educational institutions coexist with the traditional hunting profession. This tour is for anyone who is interested in the history and everyday life of a town north of the Arctic Circle. On the bus tour, we stop to see the sights and take photos.
