After a bus transfer, your tour of Santa Marta’s historic center begins at the picturesque Malecón. Drink in the views before continuing to the lively Parque de los Novios, or lovers' park. You can enjoy the tranquillity in Parque Bolívar before we stop to admire the 17th-century cathedral, Colombia’s oldest church.

You’ll then visit the beautifully restored Gold Museum. Located in one of the city’s oldest colonial buildings, the museum exhibits an array of fascinating gold and pottery treasures.

Practical information

  • Included: One bottle of water per person.

  • Remarks/requirements: Please dress according to the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Sunscreen, a sunhat, and sunglasses are recommended.

  • Walking or Activity information: Involves moderate physical activity on relatively level surfaces and gentle terrain, including some high curbs, cobblestones, and sand. There is approx. 3 hours of walking (1.6 miles).
