Explore the winter landscape on snowshoes at 3,316 ft above the fjord. There are plenty of winter walking opportunities around Mt. Hoven, many of which offer fabulous views of the fjord and the majestic mountains. And it’s all so close, with just a spectacular five-minute cable car ride from Loen village.

The guide will meet you at the Fjordshop, next to the tender port. The snowshoeing equipment will be handed out when we arrive at Mount Hoven. We set out on our hike, exploring the great wide open. We will return to Hoven Restaurant before returning on the Loen Skylift to the Fjordshop.

Practical information:

  • Language: English and Norwegian

  • Included: Snowshoes, poles, and guide

  • Remarks/requirements: Remember to bring: hiking boots/winter boots, warm clothes, waterproof jacket and pants, and a backpack with water and a snack. You can rent winter coveralls, winter boots, and gloves for NOK 200

  • Walking information: 1.4 miles

  • Wheelchair accessible: No
