Autumn along Norway’s coast is known as the season of color. In September and October, brilliant reds, yellows and orange dominate the mountainsides, hilltops and woods.
After a long, dark winter, the sun reappears and infuses new life along Norway’s coastline in March and April. Daylight returns, snow and ice begin melting, rivers thaw and green growth starts dotting the landscape in the south.
Summer (May to August) is the most popular season to explore Norway’s coastline. Enjoy more of the Land of the Midnight Sun as you’ll have more daylight in which to explore the many highlights of coastal Norway above the Arctic Circle.
