Day 1: Overnight in Vancouver
Enjoy a night in a comfortable hotel in downtown Vancouver and a delicious breakfast the next day.
Day 2: Vancouver to Kamloops
A private group transfer will take you to the train station. Board the Rocky Mountaineer where you'll travel in style through British Columbia. The scenery changes dramatically from pristine forest to desert-like plains. Marvel at the Coast and Cascade mountain peaks, the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in Fraser Canyon, and the rock sheds along the Thompson River. We’ll stop in Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia, where we’ll spend the night in a hotel.
Day 3: Travel to Banff
Expect more spectacular scenery today as the Rocky Mountaineer whisks you eastwards to the snow-capped Canadian Rockies and the resort town of Banff. This historic route passes landmark after landmark, including Craigellachie, Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon and the Spiral Tunnels. You'll end the day with an overnight stay in a comfortable Banff hotel.
Day 4: Return flight to Vancouver
After a delicious breakfast, you'll be taken to Calgary International Airport for your flight back to Vancouver. After you’ve arrived and checked into your downtown hotel, you’ll have the rest of your day at your leisure. Relax at your hotel, or head out and experience more of this fascinating city.
Day 5: Vancouver sightseeing tour
You have an exciting day ahead. After breakfast, you'll meet your local guide for a sightseeing tour of Vancouver. We start with English Bay, Canada Place and the Olympic Flame Monument. Then you’ll visit Stanley Park, stopping at the totem poles and Prospect Point. Crossing Lions Gate Bridge, you'll visit the Capilano Bridge – Canada’s longest suspension bridge – and Treetops Adventure. Finally, we'll explore Chinatown, Gastown, and Granville Island's famous market.
The tour will end at Vancouver Cruise Terminal in time for embarkation.
Please note that we may visit sites in a different order.
