This included tour will take you to the Alaska Raptor Center. The Center operates with bird care professionals assisted by volunteers to rescue birds, provide them with rehabilitative care and hopefully release them back into the wild.
  • Visit the Flight center where Eagles are regaining their flight skills.

  • The Natural Eagle Habitat enclosure offers up close eagle watching.

  • Enjoy a hands on demonstration of a Raptor to learn about the hisotry and habitat in which they live.


Head outside of Sitka to visit the Alaska Raptor Center. The Center operates Alaska’s foremost rehabilitation program, taking injured birds of prey in until they are ready to return to the wild. The Center operates with bird care professionals assisted by volunteers to rescue a variety of birds, including eagles, owls, and hawks.

After your introduction to the center, a presentation with one of the Center's educational birds will take place. Learn about the important work the center does in rescuing and rehabilitating these birds, before exploring the flight center where the raptors regain their flight capabilities. You may also wish to explore the outdoor areas and clinic, before returning to Sitka.
