Day 1: Arrival in Calgary
Your Pre-Programme adventure begins in Calgary. After landing at the airport, you’ll be able to relax and refresh at the comfortable and convenient terminal hotel, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay. Tomorrow a delicious breakfast sets you up for the day.
Day 2: Calgary to Banff
Today you discover the beautiful resort town of Banff. After breakfast, your local guide will drive you through spectacular scenery to your hotel. Once you’ve checked in, you can explore the town and Banff National Park at your leisure. Home to 53 species of mammals, it's a paradise for wildlife lovers. Look for bears, wolves, moose and mountain goats as you drink in the glorious Canadian scenery.
Day 3: Take Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops
A private transfer will take you to Banff train station in the morning where you'll board Rocky Mountaineer. The historic railway route between Banff and Kamloops takes you past landmark after landmark. You’ll see the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass, Craigellachie and more. Relax in style as this luxury train winds through glaciers and snow-capped peaks. We’ll spend tonight in the heart of British Columbia, in a lovely Kamloops hotel.
Day 4: Onwards to Vancouver
As your magnificent journey onboard the Rocky Mountaineer continues westwards, the scenery around you changes dramatically from desert-like vistas to pristine forests. Breakfast and lunch will be served onboard the train. Marvel at the rock sheds along the Thompson River, the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains. You'll disembark in Vancouver, where a private transfer will take you to your four-star hotel downtown for the night.
Day 5: A day in Vancouver
After breakfast, you'll have the day at your leisure to explore the neighbourhoods of this vibrant, multicultural city, until you join your expedition cruise.

Remarks and requirements
This tour starts with an overnight in Calgary and ends at your hotel in Vancouver. The second overnight stay in Vancouver is part of your ship voyage.
The tour includes some walking. Available to guests with limited mobility on request.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the trip up until six weeks before departure.
