Itinerary for your Post-Programme
Day 1: Disembarkation Colón, Panama City
Your land adventure begins with a 1.5 hour-drive from Colón to Panama City. Once there, we discover the atmosphere of historic district Casco Viejo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates as far back as 1673. Built on a peninsular, the quarter’s brick streets, crumbling architecture, main squares, monuments, boutique hotels and charming churches juxtapose with views of central Panama City further north in the bay.
Learn more about the fascinating history of the Spanish conquest and how the original site was destroyed by pirates, notably the infamous Henry Morgan. On the way, you will be invited to try some delicious local products "made in Panama": a fresh and tasty ceviche, tropical chocolate with a coffee from the region of Boquete, a raspado (flavored crushed ice, served by a vendor with his mobile cart), a refreshing limonada (fresh lime juice) and the famous empanada (meat pies).
The tour ends at your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 2: Panama City /Departure
Breakfast at your hotel marks the end of your post-cruise extension programme.
