Hurricane Ridge, nearly a mile high, is one of the two most popular visited sights in Olympic National Park for its spectacular mountain views. After enjoying the views and stopping at the Hurricane Ridge Visitors Centre, take a Nature Hike on one of the many trails in the area. While walking the hiking trail you may see sub-alpine flowers like lupine, Indian Paintbrush and avalanche lilies. Be listening for the whistle of a marmot, which are frequently seen and heard in this northwest Washington area. Whistle back to the marmot and he will whistle back to you.
