Scotland’s seafood capital   

Enjoy a guided tour of Oban, the unofficial capital of the West Highlands and the gateway to the Hebridean Islands. Walk up the hill to McCaig’s Tower, a striking landmark with 94 arches, for views over Oban Bay. Then head to the seafront to St Columba’s Cathedral.  After, you can explore the town at your leisure, perhaps try local shellfish by the harbour or visit the Oban whisky distillery.

  • Remarks/requirements: Appropriate warm clothing and comfortable walking shoes.

  • Walking information: 3 km mostly on paved ground although there is a steep 10 minute walk uphill.
