Climbing to the highest peak in Cape Verde, with an altitude of 2,829 meters. Throughout the climb and from the highest point, you can admire a complete view of Chã das Caldeiras and even Santiago Island. From there, we realize the dimension of the successive eruptions.
When we reach the top we have the feeling of being on top of the world, while the sulphur smell emanating from the centre of the impressive volcano is present.
